Jaycee Cooper, a former men's competitive curler and rower, now identifies as a woman.
Cooper joined women's roller derby and after an injury decided to start training for powerlifting. This year became the USPA Minnesota Women's State Champion while setting the women's bench press record.
This transgender-identified-male held disruptive protests at the 2019 USA Powerlifting (USAPL) Minnesota Women's State Championships because they were not allowed to compete as a woman.
Cooper has allegedly filed a complaint with the Minnesota Department of Human Rights against USA Powerlifting and has slandered the organization online.
